Join Us for the Great American Backyard Campout

Great American Backyard CampoutThe benefits for kids who spend time outdoors include the obvious, like getting plenty of fresh air, sunshine, and exercise, and the not-so-obvious, like an increase in creativity and imagination, improved eyesight, and even better grades or improved focus in school.

And what better way to start introducing them into the delights of nature than with a backyard campout?

Actually, what could be better is doing it with your community, both online and locally, as part of the Great American Backyard Campout, on June 25th.

“On June 25 thousands of people across the nation will gather in their backyards, neighborhoods, communities and parks to take part in a one-night event that will provide an experience for all generations to open the door and sleep out under the stars.”

Sound like something you’d like to do?

Then cruise over to the Great American Backyard Campout to register, check out their Facebook page, and follow the National Wildlife Federation‘s (NWF) Be Out There Twitter feed.

Happy camping!
