The Diarrhea Song: It’s Funny, Until It’s Not

Clean water and a toilet. Something so common for us is hard to come by in other parts of the world. And often that lack is deadly, especially to children.

The diarrhea song is all good and funny, until it turns fatal. Watch:

Diarrhea kills 4,000 children around the world every single day. More than AIDS, malaria and measles put together.

“That’s three children every minute of every day. They die because they don’t have proper toilets, so many have to defecate wherever they can. Feces contaminates everything they touch, eat and drink, causing deadly diarrheal diseases. And the solution is so simple.

We can stop the suffering by digging safe pit toilets. The technology needed is as simple as a spade. The training and equipment are no more complicated. And pit toilets last for years, saving lives day after day.”

From WaterAid, it’s time to ‘dig toilets, not graves’. Visit Dig Toilets to find out more.
