I Want You: Brainstorm with Moms Clean Air Force
I want you for the Clean Air Act!
Come join us for an online chat brainstorming how to really engage moms and dads in the fight for strong clean air regulations.
I know that many of you are already working hard to be green and make the world a safer and healthier place for your children, and you’re actively campaigning for cleaner personal care and baby products, safer cleaning products, and healthier home environments.
So I believe that you’re the right people to ask to come join me and the rest of the Moms Clean Air Force to help us brainstorm how to persuade more moms and dads to join the fight for clean air:
“Politicians in Congress, influenced by profit-driven corporations and lobbyists, are trying to gut the Clean Air Act and dismantle the Environmental Protection Agency. We have to rally moms to counter pro-pollution forces for the sake of our kids’ health and their future. If moms and dads don’t fight for clean air, who will?
But moms and dads are busy and may not know how to get involved. How do we get their attention? How do we get them to speak up? How do we recruit them for the Moms Clean Air Force?
Please come and bring your best ideas, insights and experience on what MCAF should be doing to rally moms, dads and everyone else.”
The focus of this free online event is helping to figure out how to bridge the gap between the vast majority of moms and dads who want strong clean air regulations (but aren’t doing anything about it) and those who are already actively fighting for it.
We need to bring this important issue out from behind the ‘green’ screen and the healthy parent blogger scene and into the spotlight for more of America’s parents. And if you already share your healthy/green/eco tips with your friends and family, then you probably know best which tactics to use to not get ‘tuned out’ by them. Which is exactly what we’re looking for.
Please join us on Wednesday June 1, (that’s next week, y’all!) at 2pm Eastern Time for an hour-long chat with the folks at Moms Clean Air Force (and other concerned moms and dads). The discussion will be guided by a series of questions to you, beginning with this one: “What, for YOU, is the most powerful motivation to be involved in this campaign?”
