Growing the beard you’ve always wanted: What you need to know
Growing a beard is something that has become quite the worldwide phenomenon in the last few years. There was a time not that long ago when growing a beard had less to do with style or self-expression, and was more common with men that were past a certain age. Today however, the newer generations are all about having a beard, and take the most insane steps daily to make sure that their beards look nothing short of amazing. If you think about it, women have been obsessing about how their hair looks for decades, always making appointments with professional hairstylers and engaging in extreme hair care. This is just the male version of that, where the hair grows out of the other end of the head.
Be that as it may, not everyone is enjoying themselves or even present at the beard party. Some are unfortunate enough to have not yet reached a state where they can fully grow a beard they can be proud of. And if you’re one of these guys, don’t be scared. There are more like you out there than you think. With that in mind, we decided to give people struggling with their beards a couple of pointers. Here’s what you need to know when it comes to securing a splendid looking beard.
Beard Transplant
Beard transplant is a real thing. Don’t let the fact that it sounds a little funny distract you from the fact that there’s a legitimate practice out there which can give less fortunate individuals the beard they want. Getting a facial transplant doesn’t have to be the only way, but it’s definitely a way, and if you’re interested in one, it’s worth looking into it. What you need to do is to find a right hair and beard transplant surgeon to perform your facial transplantation. The surgeon will extract some hair from your back of your head and then implant them to your facial area to increase the beard density and fulfill the empty spots in your facial area where you want to have beard.
Getting the right feel for what you need
Before you fret about not being able to grow the kind of beard you want, make sure that it’s actually the kind of beard you need. Not all beard types go well with all face types. Examine your face and think really hard about what kind of beard would best complement it. The key word here is “oval.” If a beard style makes your face look oval, you’re on the right path. That should be the overall guideline to focus on, getting your head/face to look as oval as you can, when connecting it to a beard style.
Knowing how to trim your beard
Knowing how to trim your beard is an important step of getting that nice, clean look. If you’re going to remember anything from this piece, remember this: Your beard needs to look like you mean to have one. If you can make a story about just getting back from living in a cave for the past 5 months believable, there’s definitely something wrong with your beard. Avoid neck beards at all cost and trim it uniformly. As it grows, continue to trim it and take care of it.
Getting that perfect beard look isn’t easy, but it’s worth it once you get there. You can join the ranks of well-bearded men by dedicating a sizable amount of your time to keeping it clean and trimmed, but also choosing a style that works in your favor. If something looks cool but isn’t for you, accept it and move on.
