Give this a try, first thing in the morning. The feedback from members has been good thusfar....plus the baby will love it:

Hold the baby over your head securely and then squat for 20 seconds.

Rest for 10 seconds and put the baby down.

Now Shadow box for 20 seconds.

Rest 10 seconds.

You will go on to repeat 3 more cycles of baby-squats/boxing for 3 more minutes. At first you will be wiped out, but after a few minutes your adrenaline will be fully kicked in and you will have increased energy throughout the day.

@Dadlogic - yep, they only get heavier (and need more stuff)...

@Dr. Rod - So true. It's so easy to forget ourselves, especially when life is handing us stressful situations. And our own health needs to be a high priority for us especially during those times. Thanks for reading!

Hi Derek!
These are great tips for all men. It can be so easy to forget our physical responses to life and the work we need to put into them for overall health and wellness. I just completed a series on the Divorce Life-Cycle this week on my blog and should have thought about the healthy practices to mediate the stress.
Cheers!
Dr. Rod

I agree with the tips here. Carrying around the weight of a baby really does take it's toll. You wouldn't think that a little 10 pound weight would make a difference, but my arms, shoulders and neck really ached those first couple months. And of course, they only get bigger after that.
