It’s frightening to see how hypnotic such things are for children and adults alike!

Comment on The Surprising Effects of Blood Pressure in Fitness Training at 35, 45 or Older by Dominick http://naturalpapa.com/fitness/surprising-effects-blood-pressure-fitness-training-35-45-older/#comment-1310875 Thu, 16 Nov 2017 06:51:52 +0000 http://naturalpapa.com/?p=6281#comment-1310875 10 sets of 10 is an insane workload for the deadlift. You did a tonnage of around 28,500 lb in that single session. Contrast this with someone who trains for strength and focuses on intensity: Today I worked up to 475 lb (90% of my personal best) and did 5 reps with this weight… for only one set with no reps left in the tank: Deadlift, 225 x 3, 315 x 1, 385 x 1, 475 x 5 (tonnage = about 3,000 lb). Low volume, but my nervous system took a hit from that one heavy set, in such a way that 475 is probably going to feel heavier a few days later. I am pretty sure that training like this is safer and produces a lot more strength. I turned 45 thi year.

These words really inspired me. This is whatthat everyone should understand and follow. Definitely all the things that mentioned here is really true. Well said.

Ever silence my accident in fact. And being a product of the 60’s I’m into DIY solutions to problems I encounter. So again I would like to give you my heart felt thanks for this article. Skip Weasel

Disagree about crying in front of our kids if they are little or been teenagers they should know you are strong for them. If it is unavoidable then OK and do not beat yourself up about it. But it should be the hard to avoid exception rather than the practise

Comment on 5 Reasons to Choose an Alternative School Over a Military School When Times With Your Teen Are Tough by Scott Adams http://naturalpapa.com/parenting/5-reasons-choose-alternative-school-military-school-times-teen-tough/#comment-1305654 Thu, 27 Jul 2017 20:00:54 +0000 http://naturalpapa.com/?p=9675#comment-1305654 I’m really glad that you talked about how at a specialty school, they can still have fun and enjoy their teenage years. I have been looking for somewhere that could help my son. I thought about military school, but it just didn’t feel right. I can see how if I were to choose a alternative school, he would still be able to play football something he enjoys doing.

My boy is 3 years old and when he’s misbehaving I try to let him know he s responsible for his actions, and lead him on his way to understanding taking accountability, but 60 70 percent of the time i don’t feel like he’s grasping/understanding those things unless I “threaten him with punishment”..it seems to me (in our case) that when I threaten with consequences or a punishment it is the only time he’s accepting the accountability and adjusting his actions/behavior and mostly…understanding that it’s not ok what he’s doing at the moment . Id like to find a different approach (in a more peaceful way ) but it seems that he’s not understanding or taking me seriously unless punishment or consequences are coming out of my mouth ..I would really like to find a way to have him take me serious and adjust the behavior without me having to take that approach, can you give me a couple alternatives? I appreciate you – Chris ..

It took years for the corporate mentality to change and to see such a backward step with two such forward thinking companies is a surprise, especially Apple. I can’t imagine home offices costing as much as the real estate these companies opererate.

I very much enjoyed and am challenged by your article. My children are grown now and I am in a huge rut in nearly every area of My life. Articulating where I am, why and owning it will be a work for me. I will start with small things and build on that a day at a time. You job as a parent coach seems like it could be very fulfilling. Our culture is producing generations of sociopaths, IMHO. Great work you are doing. I however could benefit from a Life Coach to achieve my goals, even to articulate them). Thank you again for this post and I hope you find thisuch belated comment.

His pain level is so high that us normal folks would absolutely die. I love him so and to save us thousands from him going to pain management I have read and talked to him about this. We have both come to the conclusion that this is something we’d like to try. So, if you would be so kind as to direct us on where to order these from we would forever be in debted to you. Thank you so kindly.
