		<description>Thank you for this post.  I was so surprised as a new parent to see how many of my son&#039;s friends&#039; parents (and a few people interacting with my child) will lie to children to gain compliance.  They do not want the hard work of being honest.  I understand the temptation to influence children&#039;s behavior, but I believe these parents will pay the price in the future when they find their children lying to them about things that matter.</description>
