Here are some photos of our alternative lifestyle experiment.
Our youngest was born in the tipi.
The bathroom is through the tiny doorway in the back.
The family bed, with loft above.
Our oldest slept in the loft.
Our tiny kitchen, with a gravity feed water system.

My wife and I are very frequently on the same page on a lot of things. I showed her the photos from your experiement. I prefaced it with “honey, do you ever get tired of working to pay for all this shit?” Her answer was “yes, but I’m not ready to live in a trailer!” Kudos to you guys for making it work! I wish we could do it too!
Kudos!
Thanks!
We were so ready to be done with being broke at the time that we jumped at the chance. We bought the trailer with our tax return, and jumped in with both feet.
We learned a lot about what not to do in the first year, and then worked on refining our system for the rest of the time. The hardest part was probably not having any personal space. No walls or doors, just one room and a tiny bathroom.
